The study aims to identify the most significant challenges facing university education at Bani Walid University from the perspective of faculty members, and to identify key proposals for overcoming them. The study employed a descriptive-analytical approach and used a questionnaire as the data collection tool on a sample of 50 faculty members from various colleges within the university. The study concluded that the most significant challenges are administrative, specifically the lack of appropriate mechanisms for linking scientific research outputs to real-world problems. Secondly, there are technical and technological challenges, including the lack of diverse training courses and the absence of modern technologies in classrooms. Finally, there are teaching challenges characterized by a focus on theoretical aspects at the expense of research. The most important proposal is the necessity of a clear strategy for university education that aligns with the community needs.
