Editorial Policy
The Comprehensive Journal of Humanities and Educational Studies (CJHES) is an open-access, double-blind peer-reviewed academic journal committed to upholding the highest standards of publication ethics and quality. Our editorial policy is designed to ensure a fair, transparent, and rigorous process for all submitted manuscripts, in accordance with the principles set forth by the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ) and Scopus.
1. Peer Review Process
All submitted manuscripts are subject to a strict double-blind peer review process. This means that both the authors' and reviewers' identities are kept anonymous throughout the review. The process is as follows:
-
Initial Screening: The editor-in-chief and/or section editors conduct an initial screening to check for compliance with the journal's scope and basic formatting guidelines. Submissions that do not meet these criteria may be rejected without further review.
-
Reviewer Selection: The editor selects at least two qualified, independent reviewers with expertise in the relevant field.
-
Reviewer's Report: Reviewers provide a written report assessing the manuscript's originality, methodological rigor, clarity, and significance. They will recommend one of the following decisions: Accept, Minor Revisions, Major Revisions, or Reject.
-
Final Decision: Based on the reviewers' recommendations, the editor makes a final decision. The decision is communicated to the corresponding author, along with the anonymized reviewers' comments.
2. Publication Ethics and Malpractice Statement
CJHES is committed to preventing publication malpractice. We adhere to the guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and enforce the following ethical principles:
-
Originality and Plagiarism: Authors must submit only original work that has not been previously published or is not under consideration by another journal. The journal uses plagiarism detection software to screen all submissions. Plagiarism, self-plagiarism, and data fabrication are strictly prohibited.
-
Authorship: Authorship should be limited to those who have made a significant contribution to the conception, design, execution, or interpretation of the research. All who have made significant contributions should be listed as co-authors.
-
Confidentiality: Editors and reviewers must not disclose any information about a submitted manuscript to anyone other than the corresponding author, reviewers, and potential reviewers.
-
Conflict of Interest: All authors must disclose any financial or other substantive conflicts of interest that might be construed to influence the results or interpretation of their manuscript. Reviewers must also decline to review a manuscript if they have any conflicts of interest.
