Authorship Policy
The Comprehensive Journal of Humanities and Educational Studies (CJHES) is committed to ensuring that authorship credit is based on significant contributions to the work, thereby preventing the practice of "guest" or "gift" authorship. The journal adheres to the guidelines set forth by the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE) and the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), which state that an author must meet all four of the following criteria:
Criteria for Authorship
-
Substantial Contribution: The author must have made a substantial contribution to the conception or design of the work, or the acquisition, analysis, or interpretation of data for the work.
-
Drafting and Revising: The author must have contributed to drafting the work or revising it critically for important intellectual content.
-
Final Approval: The author must have given final approval of the version to be published.
-
Accountability: The author must agree to be accountable for all aspects of the work in ensuring that questions related to the accuracy or integrity of any part of the work are appropriately investigated and resolved.
All individuals who meet these four criteria should be listed as authors. Individuals who contributed to the work but do not meet all four criteria should be acknowledged in the "Acknowledgments" section.
Changes to Authorship
Any additions, deletions, or changes to the authorship list must be approved by all authors, including those being added or removed. Requests for such changes must be made in writing to the journal's editorial office and should include a clear explanation for the change and a signed statement from all authors confirming their agreement.
Corresponding Author
The corresponding author is responsible for all communication with the journal during the manuscript submission, peer review, and publication processes. The corresponding author also acts as the primary point of contact for any questions regarding the published article.
