The Status of Workforce Indicators and Their Impact on Performance Efficiency at Bani Walid General Hospital

Abstract

Hospitals are among the most prominent medical organizations and institutions within the healthcare system, playing a vital role in providing healthcare whether preventive or curative to individuals and the community. Furthermore, hospitals are central to the Sustainable Development Goals recommended by the United Nations, which many nations worldwide strive to achieve. Accordingly, the study is titled "The Status of Workforce Indicators and Their Impact on Performance Efficiency at Bani Walid General Hospital." It aims to measure and evaluate the hospital's performance by examining the relationship between human resource indicators (workforce) and population size—based on metrics of numerical efficiency and actual population needs—utilizing a descriptive-analytical approach combined with quantitative statistical methods, and relying on population projections for the year 2026. The study reached a number of findings, perhaps the most significant being the fluctuation of numerical efficiency indicators—measured against local and global standards—between positive and negative levels.
