Public resource management is a cornerstone for sustainable national development, especially in developing nations facing challenges like poor planning, weak governance, and corruption. This analytical study investigates the conceptual framework, mechanisms, and impact of public resource management on national development indicators. Employing a descriptive analytical approach, the research identifies that effective resource management is intrinsically linked to robust public financial frameworks, high transparency, and good governance. Conversely, key challenges such as short-term financial vision, lack of credibility in budgeting, administrative corruption, and high dependence on primary resources (commodities) severely impede long-term development reforms and sustainable economic growth. The study concludes that achieving sustainable and inclusive development necessitates strengthening financial and legal institutions, enhancing transparency and accountability, diversifying state revenues, and strategically investing in human capital and vital productive sectors.
