Abstract

This desk-based analytical paper examines how scouting experience contributes to the development of psychological and behavioral resources essential for university leadership. It focuses on leadership resilience as a multidimensional capacity involving pressure adaptation, change management, adversity recovery, and crisis transformation into institutional learning opportunities. The study does not assume that scouting automatically produces leaders; instead, it interprets scouting as a non-formal learning environment driven by experiential learning, social participation, progressive responsibility, teamwork, service, and practical problem-solving. Furthermore, it introduces the concept of scouting psychological capital as a theoretical framework encompassing the personal and social resources accumulated through scouting participation, the depth of leadership roles, and the transferability of acquired skills to university administrative practice. Finally, the paper proposes an application-oriented framework for Aljafara University encompassing leadership development, service learning, collaborative problem-solving, and crisis preparedness, while cautioning against treating scouting experience as an absolute recruitment requirement or proof of leadership superiority.
