Tourist Attraction Components in Gharyan City and Strategies for Their Development

Abstract

The research addresses the tourist attraction components in Gharyan Municipality, classifying them into natural and human (historical and archaeological) factors that can be utilized to transform the region into a prominent tourist destination. The research aims to identify these potentials and analyze the challenges and obstacles that hinder the development of tourist activities and impede their optimal exploitation. To achieve the study objectives, a multi-path analytical scientific methodology was adopted to investigate relevant data and information. The study reached several essential results, most notably that Gharyan Municipality possesses a rich and diverse base of components that qualify it to be an important tourist destination at the local and national levels, provided that appropriate development strategies are available. Based on these findings, the study presented a set of practical recommendations that focus on the necessity of increasing attention to the tourism sector, developing infrastructure, and providing the necessary facilities to support this activity as a vital economic tributary that contributes to diversifying income sources in the municipality.
