This research presents an analytical study of Surat Al-Ma’un, which is a Meccan chapter that addresses various manifestations of doctrinal and behavioral deviations. The study aims to clarify the linguistic and idiomatic meanings of the term "Al-Ma’un" and examine the interpretations provided by scholars regarding its significance. Furthermore, it investigates the reasons for the surah’s revelation and its profound educational and social objectives. The core problem addressed in this research is that the manifestations discussed in Surat Al-Ma’un remain prevalent in the contemporary reality, where there is a noticeable spread of practical faith weakness, hardness of heart toward the needy, and hypocrisy in performing acts of worship. The research highlights the necessity of combining internal faith with practical behavior, emphasizing that true worship is manifested through kindness to people and serving society. The study concludes that the surah confirms that sincere worship is closely linked to virtuous ethics. The manifestations of deviation mentioned in the surah are not limited to the time of revelation but are present today in various forms. For instance, those who "deny the Day of Judgment" are not only those who theoretically deny the resurrection but also those who separate creed from conduct, performing rituals without reflecting them in their daily interactions. The research utilizes an inductive-analytical method by collecting Quranic texts, Hadiths, and the sayings of commentators to extract meanings and implications. Ultimately, the study reinforces that genuine faith is measured by an individual's ability to embody the values of mercy, justice, and benevolence in daily life, thereby building a society characterized by solidarity and cooperation.
