Verification and Study of the Chapter on "Usurpation" (Al-Ghasb) from the Manuscript "Tahqeeq al-Mabani wa Tahrir al-Ma'ani: An Explanation of the Epistle of Ibn Abi Zayd al-Qayrawani" by Sheikh Abu al-Hasan al-Manufi (d. 939 AH)

Abstract

The research presents the verification of a specific section, the "Chapter on Usurpation" (Kitàb al-Ghasb), from the manuscript titled Verification of Structures and Clarification of Meanings: An Explanation of the Epistle of Ibn Abi Zayd al-Qayrawani by Sheikh Abu al-Hasan al-Manufi. The verified part covers the definition and ruling of usurpation, the guarantee of the usurped item, the increase and decrease of the usurped item, and the yield of the usurped item. The primary objective of this verification is to contribute to the completion of the entire book's verification. The methodology employed aimed to produce the text as close as possible to the author’s original intent. The verification includes an introduction to the author, detailing his birth, lineage, teachers, students, works, and death, followed by the verified text and a list of sources and references.
