This paper examines the differences between solid warfare and liquid warfare, exploring their antecedents and consequences, namely solid modernity and liquid modernity, and the technologies of solid warfare and liquid warfare. It is divided into four sections. Section One: Liquid Modernity and Solid Modernity, containing three definitions: Modernity, Solid Modernity and Liquid Modernity. The second section: The Technology of War and Organized Violence in Solid Modernity, also included three paragraphs: War in Solid Modernity, Violence in Solid Modernity, and The Technology of War and Organized Violence in Solid Modernity. The third section also included three paragraphs and was titled: The Technology of War and Organized Violence in Liquid Modernity. The first paragraph was: War in Liquid Modernity, the second paragraph was: Violence in Liquid Modernity, and the third paragraph was: The Technology of War and Violence in Liquid Modernity. The fourth section came under the title: Liquid War and Chaos in Zygmunt Bauman, and it is a synthesis of the three sections and their application to Bauman’s philosophy, with a conclusion that clarified the differences between solid war and liquid war and their relationship to chaos in the Polish philosopher and sociologist.
