The prevailing culture, encompassing its values, norms, customs, and beliefs, exerts a profound influence on individual behavior within society. Beginning with the family which plays a foundational role in instilling honesty and integrity and extending to the wider social environment, an individual's character is shaped by surrounding social contexts. When this context exhibits leniency toward illegitimate practices such as cheating, rationalizing them under labels like "helping," "cleverness," or "smartness," a disruption occurs within the societal value system. Once cheating gains social acceptance as a mechanism for success, its prevalence increases. This theoretical study aims to identify and analyze the cultural factors contributing to the spread of cheating, thereby supporting the development of awareness programs that promote integrity while penalizing misconduct. Although Islamic teachings strictly prohibit dishonesty, cheating remains notably widespread, often sustained by cultural justifications. Consequently, the study proposes rigorous and practical measures to progressively reduce and eliminate this phenomenon.
