This study aims to examine the role of strategic management in improving employee efficiency within Islamic banking institutions, focusing on an applied case study of Al-Yaqeen Islamic Bank, Tripoli Branch, Libya. Specifically, the research investigates the procedures adopted by the bank for recruiting new employees, evaluates the strategic plans implemented to enhance workforce efficiency, and identifies the primary challenges facing the institution in optimizing employee performance. Adopting a qualitative descriptive methodology, data were collected through semi-structured personal interviews and direct observations with key administrative personnel and department managers. The findings indicate that employee recruitment and performance are significantly influenced by practical experience, professional qualifications, and internal mobility policies. Furthermore, the results highlight that effective strategic leadership, continuous specialized training in Islamic financing principles, and the establishment of clear promotion paths are critical determinants of employee efficiency. The study also identifies major obstacles, notably work-related stress and gaps in specialized Islamic banking knowledge, which directly impact institutional productivity. The study concludes with actionable recommendations to reinforce strategic planning and human resource development in Islamic financial institutions.
