The present study aimed to identify the level of ego self-esteem among secondary school students in the city of Tarhuna, and to examine differences in this variable according to demographic variables (gender, academic specialization, and age). In addition, the study investigated the relationship between the dimensions of ego self-esteem (academic, social, and emotional) and the total score. The study adopted the descriptive method and was applied to a sample of (49) male and female students, using an Ego Self-Esteem Scale developed by the researcher. The results showed that the level of ego self-esteem among students ranged between moderate and high, reflecting an acceptable level of self-confidence and self-satisfaction among the participants, particularly in the emotional dimension, which recorded the highest mean scores. The findings also revealed statistically significant differences according to gender in favor of females, while no significant differences were found according to age. Regarding academic specialization, significant differences were found in favor of students in the literary track. Furthermore, the results indicated positive and statistically significant correlations among the three dimensions of ego self-esteem and the total score, with the emotional dimension being the most influential, followed by the social and then the academic dimension.
