This study aims to investigate the impact of teaching and administrative workloads on the effectiveness of academic performance among faculty members at the Faculty of Education Nasser, University of Zawia. The research addresses the increasing pressures faced by academics, balancing instructional duties with administrative responsibilities, and how these factors influence the quality of educational outcomes. Using a descriptive-analytical approach, the study identifies the primary challenges hindering optimal performance, including overcrowded classrooms, extensive committee work, and bureaucratic requirements. The findings suggest that while teaching remains the core mission, excessive administrative burdens significantly detract from research productivity and pedagogical innovation. The study concludes with several recommendations, most notably the importance of achieving a balance in task distribution, automating administrative processes to save time, and enhancing the academic environment to support faculty members in fulfilling their roles effectively. These measures are essential for ensuring the sustainability of higher education quality and improving institutional performance.
