Abstract

Creative imagination in early childhood is a fundamental pillar for the child's mental, emotional, and social development. It plays a crucial role in shaping personality and enhancing cognitive and linguistic abilities, leading to improved problem-solving skills and self-expression. This study aims to identify the methods for developing creative imagination during the early years, as well as exploring the concepts of imagination and creativity, their manifestations, and the theories explaining them. The research follows a descriptive-analytical approach to study and interpret the phenomenon of creative imagination. The theoretical framework discusses various types of imagination, such as active, appreciative, cognitive, and creative imagination. It also highlights that creative imagination is a high-level mental activity that produces novel insights and original images. The study addresses the stages of the creative process, including preparation, incubation, illumination, and verification. Furthermore, it identifies obstacles that hinder this development, such as weak classroom environments, traditional educational systems, and improper upbringing methods. Conversely, the study emphasizes key stimulants like storytelling, digital cartoons, drawing, coloring, and exploring nature. The findings indicate that creative imagination is the gateway to creativity and is characterized by fluency, flexibility, and originality. The researcher recommends training kindergarten teachers on modern technological methods and educating parents on how to discover and nurture their children's creative talents.
